Welcome to Borghetto sul Mincio’s mills: we welcome everyone who wish to discover the wonders of this area through places, flavors and people. The Mills are the heart of the village: up to twenty-five years ago they were inaccessible, a witness of the past, suspended in time. Since 1996 we have breathed new life into these buildings, under the curious gaze of passers-by who wondered what this had been and what it could have become.
We wanted to preserve the history and the charm of this place and we pictured new unforgettable experiences for Borghetto visitors.
People’s interest was clear: we immediately felt a very strong connection with this enchanted place, as it began to live again and we understood that the village was beginning to show its tourist vocation. The Mills were first a dream, then a project, finally an experience: we chose to take care of this unique place, with exciting characteristics, to let other people experience the sensations that this corner of the river aroused in us since the first meeting. This is why we welcome you to the Mills with the desire to see you amazed, seduced and enchanted.
In the mills the ordinary and the extraordinary come together.
Don’t worry about recognizing where one ends and the other begins: everything is simplicity, authenticity, comfort and wonder, desire, amazement as well.

Our hotel has a very special structure: ten rooms located in six different buildings, the ancient Mills, which date back to the fifteenth century.
Rooms are all different from each other but there’s something they have in common: charm, comfort and elegance. You’ll fall asleep in the quiet of the village and you’ll wake up with the sweetness of water that flows all around, in harmony with nature. Our welcome is attentive, warm and discreet at the same time. We are a female staff, a team of women who have chosen to dedicate themselves to hospitality in all its forms: from the first smile at your arrival, to the excitement to tell you about Borghetto’s secrets, to the attention with which we will take care of you.

Borghetto
The Borgo
Borghetto is a small hamlet of Valeggio sul Mincio, on the border between Veneto and Lombardy, a medieval gem that recounts ancient atmospheres. The Borgo is surrounded by nature and water, landscapes, ancient trees and vineyards. Water is a central element in Borghetto’s history: it used to regulate the relationship between man and nature, marked the boundaries, gave work and set the rhythm of the mill blades. The charm of Borghetto is in the unique atmosphere of this place suspended between sky, water and earth.
What to do
The village and its surroundings delight you with the discovery of typical dishes and the excellent wine cellars of Morainic Hills and Garda: you can taste the “Tortellini di Valeggio” (also called “Nodo d’Amore” wich means “Love Knot”), strictly handmade according to the ancient recipe. Water is one of the main element of the village and the protagonist of many activities that you can experience in the area. If you love outdoor activities, you can cycle the beautiful Mantua-Peschiera cycle path which passes right through Borghetto, connecting Veneto to Lombardy.
